Gastronomy in small traditional villages has been of main interest the last years, especially for those who seek trying the alternative and modern Greek cuisine, based on local fresh ingredients. Vitsa is one of the Zagori Villages Complex in the Northwest, and the best place to go if you like mushrooms. Kanela & Garifalo (meaning Cinnamon & Clove) is a gourmet restaurant with a panoramic view, that its dishes are based on locally grown wild mushrooms. The owner and the chef of the restaurant is a mushroom “scientist”. He uses quality ingredients to prepare his divine dishes and all of them are a taste heaven.

If you want to have a memorable unique meal that has nothing to do with the typical touristic Greek food, that is the place. Needless to say, that is an ideal place for vegetarians
