This is the beautiful town of Molyvos or Mithimna, as it is also known, on Lesvos island. Built on a hill and surrounded by the historical power of its Medieval castle at the top of the hill. The castle is the perfect setting to enjoy panorama views.

Make sure you walk back down via the cobbled alleys to the old town to admire the beauty of the stone and wood houses. Some local shops on these streets are also very interesting although some of them get busy with tourists.

The harbor is not to be missed! A very lively part of the town where fishermen unload their nets or boxes with sardines, mackerel and many other types of fish, which are about to be sold at the local shops and restaurants throughout the island.   Find accommodation in Mithimna with Booking.Com
