Zakynthos is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea. It is widely known by its Italian name, Zante. The island is famous for its pristine beaches. Navagio beach and the Blue Caves are its top attractions. Of course, there is always the non-touristic side of a beautiful place. And that is shown perfectly through the lenses of a local amateur photographer, Stelios Pettas. Stelios lives in Zakynthos, apart from capturing beautiful photographs he collects driftwood, pebbles and shells and he creates unique art as FantaSea by Step. For the purpose of this post we collected some of his recent sunset captures. Enjoy!
Some of these photos are from the the Photographic Archive of the Benaki Museum:The Photographic Archive of Benaki Museum was founded in 1973. I could not find any information of the rest as I got them through an image search on Google .
Zakynthos or Zante is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea and a popular summer resort. In this beautiful island lives one of my favourite artists Natassa Klavdianou. Natassa is a local with a true head for art complete with pebbles, wood and other materials nature offers to her inspiration. All beauties she makes with her hands are presented in her gallery in Zakynthos named Sea and Fantasy. She is also a photographer of really aesthetic quality pictures. In this post I am delighted to present some of her astonishing photos.
Ios is linked to young people holiday with a reputation for nonstop parties and boozing. But this beautiful cycladic island it’s so much more than this. George Giotsalitis and Eva Xenou, through their camera lenses, show us the island’s traditional footpaths, the hilltop old town and other spots away from the crowds.
