This stunning place is called Melissani Cave found at the east of Kefallonia Island. It is an ideal place to escape from the summer heat, although swimming in the lake is forbidden. The top part of the cave collapsed some years ago, and the daylight that passes through brings some exceptional colours and effects in the turqoise water.
